As the trend among businesses to outsource non-strategic services like IT support, quality control, network management, or the call center increases, businesses are in need of ways to better communicate with suppliers, manage products and keep in touch with these operations.   And with the strain on environmental changes and reducing carbon emissions, the old way of traveling to often distant locations no longer makes sense environmentally, or financially.

As a viable alternative to traveling to these locations or paying expensive long distance fees, teleconferencing presents businesses with a way of maintaining communications with their outsourced operations.   And as more business need to communicate with contacts located farther and farther apart, teleconferencing services make it possible to get the most out of their meetings.   Teleconferencing provides a key alternative that can save companies money while also enhancing productivity.

No longer will employees need to spend time at airports, hotels or traveling for face to face communications, instead they can quickly be connected via a teleconference that allows them to effectively interact.   The outsourcing industry in India offers a very attractive option for companies, especially with the pricing of operations and labor. These low costs combined with the level of education of the talent pool, make India a primary location for outsourced operations.   For this reason also, US-India teleconferencing traffic has seen a significant increase.

Eagle Teleconferencing, with facilitates in the US and now also India, provides conference call / audio web services including phone conferencing, IVR and voicemail capabilities.   In an interview with TMC's Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), Kent Charugundla, CEO and President of Eagle Teleconferencing explained, "India produces about two million college graduates every year, one of the largest supplies of graduates in the world.

A number of highly competent Indian enterprises have established excellent integrated on-site/off-shore business models optimizing skill sets, operating efficiency, quality of service, and superb global delivery systems. This is the market segmentation we are focusing on in India."   And as the Indian telecommunications market continues to increase, teleconferencing offerings are becoming not only appealing, but also necessary for global communications.   "Large players such as AT&T (News - Alert) and Verizon are outsourcing their teleconferencing services along with their own facility-based services to meet competitive pressures, while few medium size companies, such as ours, with years of strong marketing, business, global infrastructure and operation experience will continue to transfer billion of minutes in traffic over the global network, optimizing global skill-sets and cost effective structure," Charugundla also said.
